Organ Donation meeting in Parliament: Kidney Care UK and NHS Blood and Transplant

Following the announcement that a general election will take place on 4 July 2024, our parliamentary event will now be postponed until later in 2024. We will publish further details of the event as soon as we can.

Are you or your family affected by kidney disease, and waiting for or living with a transplant? Then we need you to support our event.

Working with NHS Blood and Transplant, we are asking MPs to meet with us at the Houses of Parliament for an Organ Donation reception to highlight the need for and current situation with organ donation and transplantation.

We would love everyone to encourage their MP to take up the invitation.

Use our 'Email your MP' tool to invite your MP to the event and add your personal experience of kidney disease and transplant.

Hearing directly from you, their constituents, about what it’s like to have kidney disease and the impact a transplant can have will help MPs to understand why and how we need them to help.

And with 22 people facing kidney failure a day, we're hoping at least 22 kidney patients will also be able to join us at the event. If you would like to attend, please get in touch with us at [email protected] for more information. If your MP agrees to attend with you, we will contribute towards the cost of your travel (excluding flights or overnight stays).

Please show your support and contact your MP to urge them to attend, even if you are not able to make it. Take a look at our Contacting your MP webpage for top tips on writing to your MP. Thank you.
