Living with chronic kidney disease: Christy’s inspiring 20-year journey
In 2006 a life-threatening health crisis landed Christy Millar in a coma, leading to kidney failure followed by septicaemia and peritonitis. What followed was nearly two decades living with kidney disease, a journey marked by dialysis, a failed transplant and the constant balancing act of managing additional health complications. Christy shares how she transformed her experience of adversity into advocacy, building a vibrant online community and launching her own podcast, Chronically Christy, to connect with and uplift other kidney patients.
