Knitting November

30 minutes. 30 days. Endless warmth.

Spend 30 minutes a day for the 30 days of November, knitting, crocheting, sewing, or learning a new craft while raising vital funds for Kidney Care UK.

Knitting November is open to everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned crafters. What you’re sponsored to make is entirely up to you. It could be a scarf, a hat, a blanket, or even a simple square to contribute to our blanket. Whatever your craft, make a difference one stitch at a time for people living with kidney disease.

How to get started

  1. Register and set up your fundraising page to receive your FREE Kidney Care UK pin badge.
  2. Join the Knitting November Facebook Group.
  3. Share your page with your friends and family and raise money to make a difference to the lives of people living with kidney disease.

FAQs

Register for Knitting November and join our Knitting November Facebook group today. We will offer lots of hints, tips and support throughout the challenge!

No, any fundraising you are able to do is incredible and will go towards the people we support. We do suggest aiming for £150 as this means you will earn your Kidney Care UK tote bag with two wool balls in our brand colours.

The aim is to create something like a hat, scarf or blanket that can help keep kidney patients warmer in the winter. If a blanket/scarf feels too daunting, we suggest you knit/crochet squares that are either 6inx6in or 12inx12in, they then post them to us. We will then create them in to a blanket.
Whatever your craft, make a difference one stitch at a time for people living with chronic kidney disease.

Once you are officially registered, you can of course use JustGiving but through your registration process, you will create a fundraising page on the platform Fundraisin.

Your fundraising page will stay open until 30 December 2026 when it will automatically close.

When you register for Knitting November you will automatically be claiming your free pin badge. The pin badge should with you within two working weeks alongside our welcome pack.

You can do whatever you like with your creations!

You can keep them, gift them to your friends or family, or sell them.

If you have made squares, you can donate them to Kidney Care UK directly at Kidney Care UK, 3 The Windmills, St. Marys Close, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 1EF.

Please reach out to our challenge events team at [email protected]. They will be more than happy to support you with any questions or concerns you might have!
