Investigating patients' perceptions of their kidney illness

Aim of the study

We are looking into how individuals feel about their kidney illness and what kind of support they might find useful.

Who is able to participate?

Anyone over 18 years of age with any stage of Chronic Kidney Disease or with Acute Kidney Injury (either now or in the past).

Where is the study happening?

Online study.

Open and close dates of recruitment

2nd October 2025 - 31st December 2025.

Click the link to an online survey; this will take you to a webpage explaining the study, asking for your consent to be involved and then the short questionnaire, which will take approx 5 -10 minutes to complete.

Summary

We are interested in understanding how people feel about their kidney illness by investigating their choices and experiences; how they feel about treatments, how they look after themselves and what it is like to live with the illness. By finding out more about how kidney illness impacts individuals, the research aims to help inform future support.
