Summary

Evidence suggests that maintaining a healthy weight following living kidney donation is important not only for optimal recovery but also for reducing the risk of long-term complications and improving overall quality of life.

However, existing literature indicates that donors may experience limited access to follow-up support and a lack of tailored lifestyle guidance, leaving some individuals feeling underprepared to manage weight and health behaviours independently after discharge.

The aim of this study is to explore weight management following Living Kidney Donor surgery, as experienced by Living Kidney Donors.
