Lewis has worked in international development for over 25 years, and has had leadership roles living and working in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Africa. He currently works as the Chief Executive of the global poverty eradication charity BRAC UK.
Lewis has lived with kidney failure for over 30 years. In that time he has had two kidney transplants and experienced most forms of dialysis, including two years on peritoneal dialysis and three years on nocturnal haemodialysis at home. He had his latest transplant at Guy’s Hospital in 2021.
Lewis is passionate about promoting the health and wellbeing benefits of home-based self-care for dialysis patients.
