Increasing financial support for Exeter kidney patients

In a unique partnership, Kidney Care UK and Exeter & District KPA are working together and combining resources to make sure that Exeter kidney patients can get the urgent financial support they need at this challenging time.

If you’re worried about whether you will be able to pay your bills this month, or you are struggling to make ends meet, you don’t need to face this alone.

Kidney Care UK and Exeter & District KPA are here to support you with a grant towards your everyday living costs. This could include things like:

  • the rising cost of living, and paying bills
  • grocery shopping
  • purchasing essential household items, such as a washing machine or cooker
  • improving your quality of life, for example with mobility aids
  • funding higher education and training schemes
  • a holiday or respite break

If you are struggling and a little extra financial support could help improve your quality of life, we want to hear from you.

Would you benefit from further Kidney Care UK support?

Whether you need a helping hand, or just want to talk to someone who gets it, Kidney Care UK is here to help you. As well as a financial grant, we may be able to support you in other ways too.

Our Patient Support & Advocacy team works across the UK to listen and answer your questions about things like welfare and benefits, housing, transport, treatments and managing your day-to-day life. They can also provide you with access to other Kidney Care UK support services and resources.

Our free counselling service provides confidential counselling and information to people with kidney disease and their families. This could involve helping you come to terms with a new diagnosis or change of circumstance, helping you with feelings of stress or anxiety, or just helping you to manage the day-to-day challenges that living with kidney disease can bring.

Our patient information covers a range of themes and conditions to help you learn more and get an insight into some of the options that might be available for you.

You can also find a range of useful money-saving tips and kidney-friendly advice on our cost of living page.
