TCS London Marathon

We have a number of TCS London Marathon 2026 entry places. Due to such high demand for places we offer an application process.

Unfortunately, we always receive more applications than we have places, so we can't guarantee that everyone who applies will be able to secure a marathon place.

To be considered, you must submit an application via our website. Selections are based solely on the strength of your application, so we encourage you to take your time and clearly share why you are motivated to take on this challenge for us.

As well as raising money and supporting a cause that means a lot, Kidney Care UK charity places are guaranteed spots in the race which aren’t impacted by the public ballot places (see details below).

No, applying for a place is free. However, if you are offered a place, we ask for a £50 registration fee upon accepting your place.

All charities purchase their places in the London Marathon, so our £2,500 target is set to make sure that your donations and fundraising efforts have the biggest impact for kidney patients, and don't simply cover the cost of buying your place.

We will offer places on an ongoing basis, but you will know the outcome of your application by October 2025.

You will then have the opportunity to join our waitlist.

We understand that circumstances may change, and you may be unable to participate as planned. If this is the case, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible.

If you have raised at least 50% of your fundraising commitment (£1,250, excluding Gift Aid) you will be eligible to defer your place to the following year’s event. If you do decide to defer, you will be asked to pay the registration fee (£50) again, and your fundraising total will be carried over to count towards the new event.

Please note you may only defer once and all registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you have raised less than 50% of your fundraising commitment you will not be eligible for deferral. Instead, you will need to reapply when applications open for the following year’s event.

All deferral requests must be made in writing and submitted to [email protected] before the event date.

Requests will be reviewed and approval is subject to the Charity’s discretion and the availability of places in the following year’s event.

If you are offered one of our charity places, all fundraising and donations MUST be raised for Kidney Care UK only.

If you gain a place through the public ballot, you can support whichever charities you wish.
