The annual Kidney Care UK Young Adult Residential Weekend held in September this year at Mount Cook Adventure Centre was the biggest and best to date. A huge total of 88 young adults from across the UK attended the event in Derbyshire, joined by 25 volunteer staff who dedicated their time and energy to helping our guests get the most out of their time.
The Residential Weekend is an all inclusive and fully funded event where young people can have fun, make new connections and be around other people their age who understood what it's like to live with CKD.
Across two jam-packed days we enjoyed physical activities including rock climbing, abseiling, building race karts, and zip wire, alongside arts, crafts and music workshops, and plenty of relaxed social time too, all in a safe and welcoming environment.
