British Transplant Games 2022

Congratulations to everyone who took part, we had an amazing four days in Leeds! Kidney Care UK provided financial support to around a third of the teams who took part.

After two years of not being able to meet up face to face, the 2022 British Transplant Games did not disappoint.

We provided financial support to around a third of the teams who took part, meaning that we were able to help hundreds of adults and children live their lives to the full this weekend.

We have been a proud partner of the Games for the last 10 years and once again we were delighted to see so many happy, friendly and familiar faces over the four days.

Whether it was meeting the hundreds of people we’ve supported to get to the games this year on Thursday at the opening Ceremony, cheering on everybody taking part in the Donor Run on Saturday or enjoying all of the fabulous fancy dress outfits seen over the weekend, we all had such an incredible four days. From all of the smiles, laughter and hugs, we’re sure everyone else did too.

Paul Bristow, Chief Executive of Kidney Care UK, said: “The Transplant Games are an incredible way to raise awareness and also encourage everyone to talk about their organ donation decision with their loved ones. Kidney Care UK continues to be a proud partner of the Transplant Games; the key themes of friendship, physical and mental health and living well with a transplant are so important to the people we are here to support."
