Watch Ashley's London Marathon 2025 diaries

Meet Ashley, one of our 2025 London Marathon runners!

Ashley has chosen to run for Kidney Care UK after seeing first-hand how the charity has helped his mother-in-law. When he met his wife, Ellie, eight years ago, his now mother-in-law was living with polycystic kidney disease (PKD). Receiving the call to say that a kidney donor had been found for her changed her life, and the lives of the whole family.

Seeing her get better every single day is a massive motivation for me to try and raise some money for your amazing charity. Hopefully me doing this will help support another family as they go through what we as a family have experienced post-transplant.

Ashley has never really run before and has a history of pranking his family and friends, so when he hold his family he had a Marathon place, they thought it was another of his jokes!

Watch Ashley as he trains for the London Marathon 2025, from 10Ks to half-marathons, all the way to the start line in April 2025.
