Latest updates from our work with Anglian Water

We are delighted to announce that on Wednesday 2 October, Kidney Care UK, in partnership with Anglian Water, won the Silver Collaboration Award at the Collaboration Network Awards 2024. Our win highlights the incredible work we have accomplished together, integrating practical support, financial assistance and educational resources for kidney patients. Through our partnership, we continue to make a significant impact, providing vital support to those living with kidney disease across the Anglian Water region. We're extremely proud of this achievement and remain committed to our shared mission.

Collaboration Network Awards 2024

Since our partnership began, we have:

  • Set up a dedicated Anglian Water helpline.
  • Delivered multiple training sessions to Anglian Water front line staff who now have a better understanding of kidney disease and the challenges faced by the kidney community.
  • Hosted drop-in clinics in partnership at Norwich, Lincoln and Northampton dialysis treatment centres.
  • Organised fundraising activities for Anglian Water teams.
  • Attended the Northampton Home Haemodialysis Roadshow, alongside our partners National Grid, to speak to patients about support and help with bills available.
  • Created a patient information booklet for patients in the Anglian Water supply area.

In addition, our work with Anglian Water has contributed to the decision to implement a new discounted medical tariff for water in 2025. This is an industry first that will provide direct financial support to customers with specific medical needs who do not receive other discounted tariffs.
